I know this belongs on LALD but it’s too cool not to share. Ordered this from Replicarz awhile back and finally received it today, the 1977 Indy 500 winning Coyote of A.J. Foyt. It’s a bit nicer than the Tonka car I had when I was 4.

I ordered a case as well and it came boxed attached to the base already.

The front wing fairing and engine cover are removable.

All wiring and plumbing is present as well as the FOYT badged valve covers.

The cockpit is fully detailed as well including harnesses and functioning flat bottomed steering wheel.

Being a native Houstonian A.J. is a local hero for us, and the fact that he built this car, engine and drove it himself to win the Indy 500 makes it that more special. When this die cast originally came out I could not afford one and they were in short supply, now commanding 2-3 times the original price on eBay. I’m glad I was able to pick up this re-issue.

It was $170 from Replicarz website, I preordered it and the email I got stated it would be limited supply

Excellent model.

I think I’ve seen the real thing at the IMS museum or something. I may have even seen it driving around the track, but that was a while back.

That is a beautiful kit! Earlier this year I got to spend some quality time with one of that car’s sisters at The Gilmore Auto Museum.
